Overview
SuperPaperTear generates torn-paper and cutout edges on your footage inside Fusion. Rather than a static overlay, it builds the tear procedurally: edge distortion and a fiber simulation give the rip its ragged, stringy border, and you can drive the shape with your own mask so the cutout follows whatever you want revealed.
On top of the tear it adds paper texture, surface grunge, procedural dirt, and fold marks with shadows, which is what keeps it reading as a physical scrap rather than a clean matte. Akascape suggests stacking it with SuperPrintFX to drop a halftone onto the cutout. As a native Fusion fuse it runs on DaVinci Resolve Free and Studio across macOS, Windows, and Linux, installs through the Fusion Macros folder, and sells for $15 on Gumroad.
