Overview
Filmkid 16 recreates the look of 16mm film on digital footage. Built as a DaVinci Resolve PowerGrade, it adds film grain, a shifted color response, and softened contrast, with node-level control over each part of the grade.
The PowerGrade package includes the complete grade (.drx + .dpx), a tutorial video, a full grading walkthrough, example grading clips, an installation guide (PDF), an exclusive color settings guide (PDF), and monitoring LUTs. Everything is designed to get you from import to finished look in minutes, even if you are not a professional colorist.
For users who prefer a lighter option, Filmkid also offers a standalone LUT version ($89) with 7 camera profiles, 3 custom grain overlays (+ / ++ / +++), a film damage overlay, and the same tutorial and documentation materials. The LUT works across Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, and CapCut.

Verdict
The included tutorials and grading walkthrough make this more accessible than a bare PowerGrade, which matters if you're not already comfortable in the node editor. There's no trial, so the actual 16mm look is a judgment call from the demo footage alone, and it requires Resolve Studio.
